Summers are Meant for Family, Friends and Fun!
GLENCOE, ILLINOIS (July 5, 2024) -- AIR Studio + Gallery announces the debut of Highland Park artist Jacqueline Kott-Wolle’s new series “Best Days – Past & Present” opening Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 5:00-8:00PM, at AIR Gallery. Kott-Wolle’s new series of paintings are inspired by playful and nostalgic memories of a seemingly “simpler” time in her life, growing up in the suburbs in the 70’s and 80’s. The show will run from July 13-27 at AIR Gallery, 348 Tudor Court, Glencoe (across the street from Writers Theatre).
Jacqueline Kott-Wolle shared, “Though ‘Best Days – Past & Present’ is a series of paintings that are inspired by a seemingly ‘simpler’ time in my life, it was important for me to recognize that the best days of our lives do not only exist in our memories. Painted with a spirit of optimism and abundance, it was easy for me to clearly see that the best days of our lives continue to exist in the present and I wanted to capture that as well.”
Jacqueline Kott-Wolle (b.1969) lives in Highland Park, IL where she paints full time. In 2005, after moving to Chicago from Toronto with her family, Jacqueline fulfilled a long-time goal of developing her painting skills by studying at The Art Center of Highland Park. Jacqueline's work has been exhibited in both group and solo exhibitions and her figure paintings are in private collections throughout the United States and Canada. Jacqueline has presented artist talks for numerous organizations including The Museum of Jewish Heritage NYC, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Columbia University and Emory University among many others. Her work has been featured in various publications including The Art Canada Institute, The ARTDEX and New American Paintings Issue 161 and CREATE! Magazine Issue 38.
