Learn how artists through history have pushed creative boundaries using non-traditional art-making materials, presented by artist and scholar, Sandie Bacon. Then take your creativity to a new level of play and discovery to meet this event's unconventional materials challenge. You will have one week to create artwork in this first challenge, returning the following Tuesday to present your new piece. A fun and stimulating event that will push our imaginations to new levels. We welcome friends and fans to attend the second evening event to see the new artworks and cheer on your favorites!
Sandie Bacon is an award-winning artist known for her versatility from classic drawing and painting, to fine arts mixed media, collaborative sculpture and monumental murals. With a master’s degree from Maryland Institute Graduate School of Painting, Sandie has shown in galleries internationally, is in many corporate collections, and has created numerous commissions for public art. She is an alumna of the selective Golden Paints Working Artist Program; as a regional representative she conducted workshops throughout the Midwest at colleges, art stores and artist groups. And she is a member of AIR Studio!
