Wilmette Artist Anne Hughes Debuts “Welcome to the Theatre of Life” at AIR Studio + Gallery

Where the worlds of visual arts, theatre, nature and everyday life converge

GLENCOE, ILLINOIS (September 5, 2023) -- Where do the worlds of the visual arts, theatre, nature and everyday life converge? Let Wilmette artist Anne Hughes be your guide; come enter the “Theatre of Life” where she shares, with the viewing public, her sense of awe. “Welcome to the Theatre of Life: Works by Anne Hughes” opens at AIR Studio & Gallery in Glencoe, IL. The opening reception is Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00pm.

Anne Hughes employs a rich color palette of soft pastels to create thought-provoking semi-abstract paintings. Hughes’ imagery is activated by her intuitive curiosity and sincere reverence for wonder and the environment, as well as her respect for philosophical and scientific questioning. Unexpected connections flow together in these graceful compositions, stimulating the mind and delighting the senses.

“Welcome to the Theatre of Life: Works by Anne Hughes” runs Thursday, September 21 - Saturday, October 7, 2023. The gallery is open Thursday-Saturday, noon to 5pm and by appointment. AIR Studio + Gallery is located at 348 Tudor Court in downtown Glencoe, across the street from Writers Theatre. There is ample free parking.
