Chicago Photographic Arts Society (CPAS) Debuts Spring Show at AIR Gallery on Saturday, May 7th

AIR Gallery announces the “Finding the Light” Show featuring 28 fine art photographs from the Chicago Photographic Arts Society. The show runs from May 7-29, 2022 at the nonprofit AIR Gallery, 348 Tudor Court, Glencoe, Illinois. Opening night is on Saturday, May 7 at 5:00-8:00PM, where you can meet the artists. The event is free and open to the public.

The Chicago Photographic Arts Society (CPAS) was established in 2013 by committed photographers associated with the Chicago Botanic Garden photography program. The mission of CPAS is to advance the artistic visions and growth of its members. It meets regularly for educational sessions and critical image reviews. CPAS brings its artists’ works to the public via biannual group exhibitions and a robust presence on social media including Instagram, Facebook and a dedicated website.

CPAS is comprised of 30 members whose range of photographic interests include abstract, landscape, still life, portraiture and more. Its members seek to find beauty in the natural or constructed world using digital workflow and, in some cases, film or manual techniques. Its membership includes current teachers of photography and individuals from varied professional backgrounds ranging from graphic design to law to education. Many members have shown their works in national and international juried exhibitions.
